When Kristy Lea of Quiet Play Designs asked if l could make a project for her new fabric collection Imagine for Riley Blakes Designs, l was ecstatic. l immediately knew which design was coming to life with this rainbow collection. I mean, who could pass on these gorgeous fabrics bursting with colour. Introducing the Flourishing quilt (there is no pattern for this one yet, but it's in the works).

When Bobbie of Geeky Bobbin, asked me to be a part of the UFOvember blog hop, l immediately jumped at the chance as this the the perfect kick and encouragement l needed to take stock of my seemingly increasing UFOs. What is a UFO you ask? I used to think that a UFO is something from out of space and could not figure out how this related to quilting…ha! We live and learn my quilty friend, because l came to understand that UFO stands for U̶n̶i̶d̶e̶n̶t̶i̶f̶i̶e̶d̶ ̶F̶l̶y̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶O̶b̶j̶e̶ sorry l meant UnFinished Objects. I have almost always been a finisher of projects but lately this has not been the case. I now have a little pile of UFO’s waiting to be loved on by either resuming, rehoming or reworking them.
UFOs or WIPs, we all have them right!
Hi there, my name is Lynett and welcome to my Avenue!
I have an insane addiction to fabric and can happily spend all day in a fabric shop just ogling, touching and maybe(most likely) buying some. l only need a teensy bit of encouragement and l will shop up. I find so much joy in seeing new life breathed into these fabrics, turning them into some lovely modern makes to use in the home or gift to a special someone.
P.S. Sometimes l recommend products and if you click these links, l may receive a commission. This is not an additional cost to you.
