Hello Quilting Friend,
I have some quilt patterns coming out and I am looking for quilters who are interested in testing them before they are released. Please see below for further details of what is expected of testers and my commitment to you.
Expectations of Pattern Testers
Expectations of Pattern Designer (ME!)
How will this work?
I am building up an email list of pattern testers who will be sent out details of the new quilt to be tested. If this sounds like something you are interested in, you will let me know via email at lynett@lynsavenue.com
Remember, this is not something you have to do all the time, just respond to the ones you are able to fit into your schedule.

Expectations of Pattern Testers
- Commitment. If you agree to test a pattern, please do your very best to complete the project within the allotted timeframe. If you realise that you are unable to finish the project for whatever reason, please let me know as soon as possible as this will help me make alternate arrangements.
- Test the pattern as written. You may see the need to approach the pattern a different way however, it is very important to test pattern as written. (You may include information about an alternate way in your feedback).
- Written Feedback. As you test the pattern, write your feedback either on your draft copy or seperate sheet. Please be thorough and think about things like: clarity of instructions and or diagrams, re-wording suggestions, tips and tricks to make steps easier, errors (grammar/spelling, measurements, cutting and yardage errors), anything you may find confusing…etc. Please be honest in your feedback as this will add more value to the finished product. Email clear written feedback by due date to lynett@lynsavenue.com.
- Photos. I am not asking for professional level, however, may you please take clear well lit photos of your quilt/top with a background that is not distracting. I would love to share your work on my social media and blog and would love to showcase your work at its best. I will credit your work when sharing your photo.
- Respect of Copyright. All patterns provided to you are for you to use and enjoy. Please do not copy or share.
Expectations of Pattern Designer (ME!)
- Communication. Please do not hesitate to contact me at lynett@lynsavenue.com if you have any questions. I will endeavour to respond within 24hrs or earlier. You will be informed of the release date so that you can prepare to be included in the initial release advertising (this would be the time to share your finished quilt on social media, blogs, newsletters, in real life) if you so choose.
- What you will receive. Each tester will receive a draft to use for pattern testing. Upon publication of the pattern, each tester who has completed the project and submitted feedback and photo/s will receive a final copy of the pdf pattern.
- Credit. Your photo/s will be included in the pattern release, credited to you as the maker.
